Sorrento is a cute little resort town that sits prettily on the end of the cliffs and is the key place on the Sorrentine peninsula, which in turn is located to the east of Naples. It is a popular tourist destination. The Marina Piccola and Marina Grande beaches attract the majority of attention with their wide variety of water sports and general swimming activities. Other than the beautiful beaches, you can go visit the many places that have still-intact pieces of historical architecture.

If you want to fly to Sorrento, you have to land at Cappodichino airport, which is about 50km away from Sorrento. In case you are in Naples, you might enjoy reaching Sorrento by sea aboard the various hydrofoils and ferries that are available there.
