The game against Italy was crucial and I’m sure Trapattoni was  delighted to pick up a point from his native country in Bari.

Stadio San Nicola stadium holds 58,248 spectators. Ireland wer allocated 5,000 tickets for the game. The stadium was built for the 1990 world cup and also hosted the 1991 European cup final.
